Flymph. Well, I am going to start my first project by converting a Winchester 1897 into a trench gun. Already have the gun by a matter of chance, but don't know anything specific (pops really needs to stop accidentally bidding on gunbroker). All I know is the barrel is too long for my desired purpose as a recreation of the classic M97.The M1917 Bayonet is a sword-style bayonet featuring a 17-inch blade that commands considerable added length to the weapon it is attached to. Compensating for the weight of such a large blade a “Fuller” sometimes referred to as a blood groove is present down the blade. This is comparable to fluting on a barrel.Arrives sharpened from the factory. This is an exact reproduction of the classic WW1 Enfield M-1917 bayonet with simulated WW1 dates. The blade has wood grips and each bayonet comes with a green steel mounted leather scabbard complete with correct hooks for the U.S. infantry waist belt. Perfect for re-enactors and collectors!
